::Well worth a visit. This cemetery is not only beautiful with many graves having stunning scuptures as headstones, it also contains a snapshot of Lithuania's history with graves of Napoleon's soliders who died here on retreat from Moscow, graves of Polish soliders from the 1920s, Soviet soliders from the 1950s - alongside a dramatic Soviet memorial, and also graves of the Lithuanians who died fighting for independence in 1991.

::Beautiful cemetery on a forested hill. Didn't understand why a cemetery would be a on a list of places to visit in Vilnius, but after walking through it on a snowy day in winter, I understood. Breathtaking.
