::As a professional guide. This is a true gem of architecture, designed in late 30s by the French architects Urbain Cassan and Elie Ouchanoff, with a little assitance of local young architecture star Feliksas Bielinskas (he designed the Pathological Anatomy headquarters). Mind you, Cassan before that designed the unique Hôpital Beaujon à Clichy and later was among the authors of e.g. Tour Montparnasse in Paris. It was the most convienent and modern hospital in the country, with many novelties such as central heating or cork floor in dental section. However, the hospital had to be masked during the WW2, but had to be masked. Later, Soviets added a medical research and laboratory complex In 1967 , followed in 1972 by gynaecology center (where I was born), and in early 80 sa cardiac clinic and a neurosurgery center were constructed, and gardens were planted. Today, Parliament members and ministers come to be healed or die here // Klinikose gimiau, Klinikose greičiausiai... negaliu nei pusės blogo žodžio pasakyt. Kaip gidas, visiems rekomenduoju Klinikas kaip modernizmo architektūroje šedevrą. O kur dar paslaptingieji tuneliai...

::Very disappointing hospital. I have I bike accident and the ambulance took me to this hospital. I waited for more than two hours and then the doctor not even looked at me. Not a very nice hospital to foraigners

::Biggest hospital in Kaunas. Has extremely qualified staff. All specialties and all purpose hospital. Is part of LSMU (university). Has an emergency room, but it is best to call an ambulance. Poor parking options. Lots of people. Huge lines. Sad.
